Climate Fund Managers B.V. (CFM) is a leading blended finance fund manager dedicated to securing a sustainable future by investing across global emerging markets. CFM has a long-term vision to structure cutting edge financing facilities around thematic areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, including renewable energy, water and oceans, sustainable land use, and sustainable cities. CFM is established as a joint venture between the Dutch development bank FMO and Sanlam InfraWorks – part of the Sanlam Group of South Africa.


We are seeking an Investor Relations Manager to strengthen our Capital Raising and Business Development team. Reporting to the Head of Capital Raising and Business Development this role will be based in The Hague.

 

The Investor Relations Manager will work closely with the Capital Raising and Business Development team as well as other divisions, at times, within CFM to optimally organise and maintain the relationships with the existing investors of the funds which are managed by CFM.  A core focus will be (a) to expand the current IR platform/toolbox, (b) to ensure accurate and timely exchange of information and reporting on the performance of the funds and projects in which the funds have been invested and (c) to develop new capital raising opportunities. Central to the job purpose is to develop story telling tools to be able to explain to investors “what we do, why we do it, how we do it, and why it makes sense to them”.

 

Responsibilities


  • Build and/or maintain a database of existing investors
  • Coordinate investor relationship management
  • Analyse performance data
  • Implement compliance guidelines
  • Act as a central point of contact and focus for investors
  • Lead CFM’s annual investors meeting
  • Manage road shows
  • Respond to ad hoc investor requests
  • Develop supporting tools for storytelling approach
  • Manage social media around Investor Relations

  

Qualifications

 

  • Five to eight years' experience in Private Equity/Infrastructure Fund Management or related areas
  • Experience in energy or infrastructure sector desirable
  • A proven track record in Investor Relations would be a distinct advantage
  • University Honors degree or equivalent
  • An understanding of the investor decision making processes
  • Competence within the MS Office suite as well as in CRM systems
