Climate Fund Manager’s (CFM) is a leading blended finance fund manager dedicated to securing a sustainable future by investing across global emerging markets. CFM has a long-term vision to structure cutting edge financing facilities around thematic areas of climate change mitigation and adaptation, including renewable energy, water, sanitation, and oceans. CFM is established as a joint venture between the Dutch development bank FMO and Sanlam InfraWorks – part of the Sanlam Group of South Africa.


We provide financing solutions across the entire project lifecycle (development, construction, and operational stages). With our offices in The Netherlands, South Africa, Singapore, and Latin America we believe in a world where sustainable investing and profitability are not mutually exclusive.

We are seeking a skilled Business Applications Analyst to join the team. This role will report to the Chief Financial Officer, is based in our Claremont, Western Cape ,South Africa office,  and interfaces with all of CFM's divisions and offices

The primary focus of the role will be to ensure that software applications are designed and used according to the needs of various stake holders as well as cost management, monitoring, and maintenance  of software platforms and applications.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Maximising application deliverables as per the end user needs
  • Defining business requirements and reporting them back to stakeholders
  • Collection and analysis of data
  • Create, access and develop ways of working through data
  • Providing insights (finding patterns and trends in data)
  • Planning and monitoring
  • Automate manual reporting and data collection processes
  • Generating reports
  • Performing detailed research
  • Technology integration and/or improvements
  • Adhoc projects


Qualifications and Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, business analytics, administration, finance/accounting
  • Project Management certificate
  • Versatile and self-driven
  • Ability to dive into unfamiliar systems, data sets and roles with successful outcomes
  • Provide solutions that can be easily interpreted and acted upon by management
  • Solutions orientated
  • Analytical thinker
  • Business acumen
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise
  • Excellent communication skills to communicate to stakeholders
  • High proficiency in MS Office suite
